ML400

Designed specifically for the automated turning of shaft type production parts, the ML400 is a super compact shaft lathe allowing for automated turning of shaft parts up to 400 mm (15.7”) in length and up to 200 mm (7.9″) in diameter. For even longer parts, the machine’s sister model, the ML400L, can turn shaft parts up to 570mm (22.4”) in length and up to 200mm (7.9”) in diameter.

Reduced cycle times are a guarantee with the ML400, in addition to a quicker changeover of parts and fully programmable capabilities from one machine. In fact, the ML400 has the ability to program a variety of different parts at once, which is especially beneficial for clients with multiple parts and very specific positioning needs. The ML400 gives you the flexibility you need to get the job done, and get it done right.

Unlike similar machines, the ML400 is unique in that it uses a vertical bed, rather than a slant bed. This allows chips to drop directly into the conveyor, preventing hot chips from overheating the machine. What’s more, this machine consists of stainless steel hardcovers for chip guards, which prevents the risk of chip contamination. Like all Murata machines, all parts are OEM, which allows you to get the service, support, and parts you need, from one location. The ML400 is easily automated and is available with one or two turrets, as well as with or without our high-speed, three-axis CNC gantry loader.

MJ60

The MJ60 is a specialty machine that was purposefully developed for the automated turning of shaft type production parts that require tight machines tolerances. A single spindle CNC turning machine, the MJ60 comes equipped with a single 8 station tool turret and hydraulic actuated tailstock. By securing longer workpieces in place during the cutting operations, the tailstock reduces part movement and offers greater precision on even the most complex parts.

From shafts to end pieces to everything in between, the MJ60 offers close tolerance and can deliver better precision turning than similar models on the market.
